Airbus A350 XWB
The interior design image of Finnair’s new Airbus planes is mainly based on dSign’s SpaceAlive concept. The idea in the concept is a changing ambience in the space as the flight proceeds. In May 2015, the interior design of Finnair’s Airbus planes won the highly esteemed Yacht & Aviation Award in the Commercial Aviation – Economy/Business Class category.
“For Finnair, an International Yacht & Aviation Award is a great honour. We are very pleased to see that out new planes have received such positive attention even before they are commissioned. Our team has done an excellent job”, Finnair’s Vice President Jarkko Konttinen says.
In addition to changing ambiences, the interiors of the new planes reflect Finnair’s fresh, clean, blue and white, high-quality image. There are several well thought of design details in the cabins, such as the tailor-made type seat quilting in the business class customised for Finnair. The front panel and other surfaces have a new graphic image with a pattern designed from the letter F. The luxurious flight experience is also supported by the materials selected for the cabin interiors – the most high-quality and innovative available in the market.
