M/S VIKING GRACE


In 2011, Viking Line was looking for fresh ideas for its ships and select dSign, a completely unknown name in the ship interior design business at the time, to design the interior of M/S Viking Grace. The project covered all the public spaces on the ship from restaurants and night clubs to spas and lobbies, as well as four suites, each developed with a unique concept. In the lobby areas, the passenger experience was strengthened by means of dSign’s SpaceAlive concept of a changing ambience. The ship was commissioned in early 2013, and it won a highly esteemed Shippax award for its innovative interior design in the same year. Viking Line strongly emphasised the interior design of the ship in its marketing. The first year’s passenger target of one million was exceeded by 300,000 passengers.
